Thanksgiving

I know it was a couple weeks ago, but I thought I'd share about our 1st Thanksgiving together (married). We woke up and went to the Blankenfeld's and got to see Natalie and Kenny and their kids as well as Tanner's parents and sisters and brother. We enjoyed snacking throughout the day, watching television, and then a delicious lunch! Mom Blankenfeld made an excellent dinner and the turkey was delicious! Then we went to my family's house at 6:00pm since my brother and his new wife flew in from Las Vegas and enjoyed a second dinner. It was so fun to be able to share the holiday with both families!! We are truly blessed that we can do that. Here are some pictures of the day's proceedings at the Blankenfelds'.

Here we are at my parents' house

Tanner holding Ella!

We spent alot of time in the kitchen munching and chowing down. Here's Emma, Randi, Reese, Wyatt and me.
Here is the table full of pies! My favorites were the pecan pie and apple pie! YUMMY!!

Look closely and you can see Emma and Wyatt jumping from haybale to haybale! They had so much fun and they went across the bales multiple times!

This is Reese enjoying her glass of milk that Tanner got her! She was attached to Tanner the whole day and loved on him! Needless to say she grabbed Tanner's heart!

Thanksgiving

This is the baby at 11 weeks! We got a sonogram to confirm the baby's due date! This is the best picture we got because you can see the head, arms, and legs.

Today we went to the doctor and she said that everything looks perfect! I'm gaining the right amount of weight, the baby's heartbeat is right on track and all of my blood tests came back with good results! When Holly Groom, our midwife, was doing the heartbeat, we heard the baby kick! It was cutesy! She was like "your baby is so cooperative, it just doesn't like being pushed!" I told her, "push it again" so that we could hear it! Currently I am 14 weeks and 4 days along and the baby is due on May 18, 2008. Tanner and I love going to the doctor and hearing the baby's heartbeat! So in a couple months, the middle of January to be exact, we will find out what the baby is! YAY!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and we are planning to go to the Blankenfelds in the morning/mid afternoon and then come back and eat dinner with my family!

Today Levi and Rachel flew into town and it is so good for them to be here! The family is finally complete. When Levi walked into the house from being out with dad, he greeted me and the baby and declared the new nickname for the baby "Blanker". He didn't realize that we were waiting for him to give the baby a nickname, like he did with my sister's kids.

I am so excited for Thanksgiving because my morning sickness is GONE and I can eat again, of course with caution!!!! Here's to eating!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

1st Doctor Visit

Today Tanner and I went to our first doctor's visit! It was a great day! I was really nervous to go to the doctor, but excited too! It really helped having Tanner come because he made the nerves go away. We got to hear the heartbeat of the baby!! We were so excited and could not stop smiling! There really is baby in there!!! :) It was cute, Tanner asked so many questions to the doctor! It was great having him there, because he remembered about stuff that I didn't and was very caring. So, we found out that I am 10 weeks and 3 days along and due on May 18, 2008. On Tuesday I am going in for a sonogram! YAY!! Everything seems so real and not just like I am sick for nothing!

I have to say that it is so worth every night that I was sick, to finally hear the heartbeat of our little one and know that they are developing and doing well!!

That's about it for now, but I'll update more later!

I'm Pregnant!

Well, I finally told everyone important that Tanner and I are having a little one, and so now I can post about it. I didn't want anyone finding out from my blog...a little impersonal I guess! This week I am 7 weeks pregnant! Tanner and I found out together and took the test together too. Tanner is so excited and thrilled, but also a little stressed out about money and how we will financially take care of the baby! I guess I'm not as worried because Tanner ALWAYS is so good with money and makes sure everything is taken care of :) It's nice!

I have been having nauseau, upset stomach, and morning sickness with the yucky stuff! It's been hard, but it's okay because at least I'm not sick to be sick, but sick so I can have a baby!!! Tanner and I really don't have a preference on what we want the baby to be...we just want a happy, cute, and healthy baby.

Tanner and I have been swamped with work, school and being pregnant as usual! Tanner is doing so great and is helping me so much. I sometimes feel like all I do is say, Tanner can you get this? Etc. He always does it with a smile!

We are doing well and can't wait for the 12 week mark to come along, so hopefully the sickness will dissapate! (crossed fingers)

Ethan Hollis

On September 12, 2007, my sister Leah had her 2nd boy by C-section. He was 9 lb 11oz and 22 1/2 in long. I don't know how Leah did it, but she did!! He is so precious! When Tanner and I went to the hospital, we enjoyed holding Ethan and talking to Leah and Neil. Here are some pictures my mom took and later I'll upload my pictures!! :)

Ethan Hollis!!!! I came after my Thursday night class to see my sister and brother-in-law and new nephew! I loved holding him.

On Wednesday when Tanner and I went to see the new baby, I saw Ty in the hallway on his way to eat lunch with his Aunt Lisa and Dana and Grandma Bartlett! Ty ran down the hall to me and gave me a big hug and kiss without being asked! Ty is such a sweet, loving boy! I love my nieces and nephews so much and enjoy being their Auntie!

He has gorgeous blue eyes and lots of dark brown hair. I love his hair!! When I first took a look at his hair, I was so proud to call him my nephew! Here's my mom holding him.

Here is Ethan right before he woke up! It really looked like he was pondering life! Every little move was so sweet and I couldn't stop watching him!

This was Thursday night and I was holding little Ethan and he grabbed my finger with both his little hands! He's so sweet and lovable and PERFECT!

Carissa Meredith

Yesterday my sister Meredith had her baby!!! She was born at 7 lbs 7 oz and 19 and 3/4 inches long. She is so sweet and doesn't like it when you play with her feet. Meredith went into labor at about 2 am and then called my mom and went to the hospital at about 4:45 am. We all went to church and my parents and my nieces and then went home, got dressed, and went to the hospital. The baby was born on Sept 2, 2007 at 12:23 pm. Tanner was so excited because he got to hold a newborn baby and he never had because his sister and sister-in-law live far away. He is a natural and looked so cute with the baby! We got to the hospital about 1:00 pm and stayed till about 5 pm and then went back to take Jonathan and Meredith some of the dinner my mom made. Everyone is happy and healthy and now home!

Until the baby had a name, we called her Lollipop which Anna and Kirsten nicknamed her when we would ask them what a good name for the baby was.

The first week of school went well. ALl of my classes are pretty good and I am dropping my statistics 2 class because the teacher doesn't know how to teach and she's so confusing and so.... I don't want to stress alot! So, I'm going to take it when the head of the math department teaches it, because he's really good!

Tanner loved school! His teacher is great and he likes the school atmosphere! He's is absolutely doing wonderful.

Life in the Fast Lane

my sister Leah and me! Isn't she so cute pregnant! Both her and Meredith are due in less than 3 weeks I think! I can't wait to become a new aunt again. I told Tanner what our family does when new babies come! We all go to the hospital and wait for the baby to be born and get all excited looking at the nursery babies. Then the parents get their special time and then we get to come in and all hold the baby before she goes and is all cleaned up! I already have cute Deacon and Ella, and can't wait to see the next babies! It's so special to see new babies because you know that they are from Heavenly Father and it shows how wonderful His creations are !

Last weekend my sister and brother-in-law had a weekend away from the girls before the new baby comes. So my parents watched Anna and Kirsten. My other sister had her baby shower that weekend, so my mom and I went to that while Tanner and my dad watched them. They were supposed to take naps, but didn't and so Tanner took them to the park up the street and he became the best uncle when he did that.

So when my mom and I came back Tanner and I chilled with the girls and then went shopping since it was tax-free weekend. I found a cute pair of jeans and Tanner found a nice white polo.

Then we went to dinner with my parents and nieces to celebrate my Dad's birthday! That Wednesday, Tanner and I went to the temple and while we were down there we got my dad the conference CDs which he loved.

This week we have been getting ready for school, buying books, permits, and everything else in between!

Lots of work and fun!

Roughriders Game

We got free ticket s from the family business to go to the Rough Riders game. We met up with Alan and Luz who work with Tanner and had a double date. The game was great to watch and in the 2nd inning the Rough Riders hit 3 home runs!!! An d they won the game ! YAY !At the game
If you look closely you can see the pink jerseys that the Roughriders wore in honor of the Mary Kay charity foundation. They auctioned them off to raise money for their charity. You could tell the people who were mary kay because they had on so much make up and were all dazzled up.
They had all sorts of fun games during the innings. Here was a tug of war with some kids and the teeth.
Funny Tanner.

This is their mascot, Deuce. It was Mary Kay night and pink was everywhere literally!!!! Pink shirts, hats etc.
Luz, Alan, Tanner and Me at the Roughriders Game. The Roughriders are in the baseball league below the majors and it's where scouts come and find new recruits for the majors.

Birthdays and Anniversaries Celebration

We decided to celebrate my parent's anniversary and my sister Meredith and Brother-in-laws' anniversary and my dad's birthday and Neil's birthday on one sunday! We had fun getting together. We love parties in our family! Any reason to celebrate will do.

Tanner and me!
the 3 grandbabies eating dinner! They truly are our 3 muskateers!! They love playing together and are so sweet !!!

Kirsten hugging the baby! She loves giving kisses and hugs to the baby! Less than 1 month for the 2 babies.

Isn't Tanner cute washing dishes !?

Family action!

Six Flags

A couple weeks ago we went to Six Flags with Emma and Randi. It was quite a hot day and my job was making sure everyone had enough water. We had lots of fun and here are a couple pictures we took. Don't mind the sweat looks. : )

A couple weeks ago we went to Six Flags and took Emma and Randi. They spent the night at the aparment and

We waited in line for the Superman. Tanner ended up sitting in the middle of me and Emma and Randi waited for us at the bottom. It was so fun. We were able to see Arlington from the top with a lot of screams!
This is at the end of the day! We were so tired and hot and sticky....but overall despite the hot weather we had a wonderful time at six flags! Here we are in front of the batmobile that's in front of the long line for the Batman ride! I love that ride. While Tanner and the girls went on a water ride, I went on the Batman and it was so fun!

Family

Today I went to Meredith's to work on some special gifts I'm making for Deacon and Ella. Sorry, I can't tell yet ;) I took some pics of Anna and Kirsten who have such pretty blue eyes!

Little Anna sneaked into a little corner and was drinking her water bottle. Then I coaxed her out and asked her to smooch her lips! Isn't she adorable ? And almost 3! I can't believe it!
Kirsten putting on my lipgloss. Every time I see them the first thing they ask is "Can I have some lipgloss?" And Anna will find it in my purse and put it on and then give some to kirsten. Today was a lounging day as you can see!

Last night I went shopping with my mom and came home and watched So You Think You Can Dance?! These are just a couple of pics from when Tanner came home from work.

Tanner and me just after he came home from work making funny faces.
Here we are posing for mom!
My mom fixing Tanner's work/dress pants!
My dad playing spider solataire looking quite librairain-ish! Isn't he handsome?!

Just a typical night and day with me and Tanner!

BOWLING IN DENTON

Mom Blankenfeld, Emma, Randi, and Richard came down to Denton for FHE 2 mondays ago! We all went bowling and enjoyed the time together. Mom Blankenfeld won the first game and Tanner won the last game! The last game I got 5 strikes :) I was so excited ! We all aimed for strikes! There were so many things that happened with our lane and most of the time it happened during Emma's turn. First a little girl had a ball and threw it into our lane. Then the lane just froze and so we moved lanes and happened to move next to the a pro bowler who owned the little shop in the bowling alley. He gave us some tips and we nodded and smiled! They actually helped and I started doing well, but then had a streak of gutters, but came back:)
Randi waiting to bowl!
Richard had never been bowling and so we all tried to help him. The pro bowler did some great work trying to help him!
While bowling everyone else would talk around the screen at the table. But Emma always watched and I had made a strike and I looked back to celebrate and there was everyone talking but Emma clapping for me! What a cheerleader.
Mom Blankenfeld about to bowl. She was so much fun. She always made sure to tell how well we'd done after our bowl!

This is the pro bowler who helped us, Just kidding. It's just tanner acting funny with his 14 lb ball.

Cute Emma with her new brown hair! In the back you can see the bowling ball in the gutter, we all had our chances with gutter balls but we all cheered each other on!!

Me and Tanner!
